How do you go about choosing the sometimes forgotten photographer? The photographer is arguably one of the most important things you must pick out for your wedding. 5 years after your wedding no one is going to remember the food or the table settings. The only real tangible memories you are going to have are your photographs. Negotiate price. Don’t fall for the photographer’s stated price. If you really like someone, but feel that you could get a better deal somewhere else let the person know that you are thinking about going elsewhere because of price. It never hurts to ask. The worst thing that could happen is that there is no wiggle room in the stated rates.
Make sure you don’t fall for the “I will make a book for you scam”. Some photographers are charging upwards of $1,000 for a book that will sit and collect dust on your coffee table. In today’s digital world these are becoming less and less popular.
